Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
• Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• At least one year of recent experience in a school or pediatric setting
• Must pass a comprehensive background check
• Continuing education credits as mandated by the state and district

Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Implement therapeutic activities to support students’ educational and developmental goals
• Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with the OT to adjust treatment plans
• Work alongside teachers, administrators, and parents to address and support student needs
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations
