Apply NowA full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to support elementary school students in a contract position lasting through June 16, 2026. This onsite role is based in Puyallup, WA, serving two elementary schools with a caseload focused on providing occupational therapy services during the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services directly to elementary students to support their developmental and educational needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation aligned with state and school district guidelines
- Participate in planning and staffing meetings relative to student goals and progress
- Manage caseload efficiently within scheduled school hours and additional time onsite
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Washington state COTA or OT license is required
- Must have OSPI fingerprint clearance prior to starting
- For COTAs, previous experience working in a K-12 school setting is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adhere to school schedules and maintain professionalism on campus
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
- School hours are 9:35 AM to 4:05 PM with an expectation to be onsite 15 minutes before and after the school day
- Services provided at two elementary school sites in Puyallup, WA
