School-Based COTA | Renton, Washington

A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services at an elementary school setting in Renton, WA. This position is a back-fill role with a duration covering the current school year through June 16, 2026. The assignment requires onsite presence with a focus on supporting students' therapy needs within the school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students following individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the school day
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy approaches as appropriate
• Comply with school policies, including punctuality requirements (staff must arrive 15 minutes before and remain 15 minutes after the school schedule: 9:35 AM to 4:05 PM)
• Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and program effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Current Washington State COTA or OT license
• Experience working as a COTA in a school setting (required for COTA candidates)
• Complete fingerprint clearance through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)
• Ability to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Location:

• Elementary schools in Renton, WA (Elmhurst and Brookdale sites)
