A K-12 school in Manokotak, AK is seeking a qualified Mental Health Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year on a contract basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students in grades K-12
- Assess student mental health needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation of counseling sessions and progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and referral processes
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a school counselor or mental health counselor
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of mental health issues impacting K-12 students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to the community’s unique needs
