An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional in a K-12 school setting located in Sandia Park, NM. This position is focused on providing essential mental health support to students from L-12th grade, ensuring their well-being and academic success.
Qualifications:
- Current NM PED certification for school counseling.
- Licensure from the Board of Counseling and Therapy Practice for Mental Health Counseling.
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in Tier One Interventions.
- Strong understanding of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a variety of mental health needs.
- Assist with the implementation of Tier One Interventions to support student well-being.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Facilitate training sessions on mental health awareness and best practices for staff.
- Monitor student progress and adjust counseling techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations.
