A K-12 school in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a skilled Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students for the current school year contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and inclusion
- Utilizing assistive technology and communication strategies to enhance student engagement
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction as needed
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure to teach Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Experience working with DHH students in a K-12 educational setting
- Strong knowledge of communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant techniques
- Ability to create a supportive, accessible learning environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Assignment Type: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
