A full-time opportunity is available for a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist working with students from birth through age 22. This role is based in Pierz, MN, and involves serving multiple member districts across various school buildings. The position runs from late August through the end of May, aligning with the academic calendar.

This role requires a self-motivated educator who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within teams. Strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through are essential to manage a diverse caseload and ensure consistent support for students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, tailored to their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Manage a caseload of students aged birth to 22, delivering services across multiple school facilities within the district.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and report outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development to enhance service delivery.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with a broad age range of students with hearing impairments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and reliability.
  • Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.
