A full-time Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist position is available within a collaborative school environment in Royalton, MN. This role spans from late August to the end of May, supporting students from birth through age 22 across multiple district buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience working independently while effectively collaborating within interdisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, tailoring educational strategies to individual needs.
- Managing a diverse caseload, including early intervention through secondary education.
- Coordinating services and communication between families, educators, and related service providers.
- Maintaining organized records and demonstrating consistent follow-through on student goals and program requirements.
- Participating actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Proven ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to student success and collaboration.
- Experience serving a wide age range of students in multiple educational settings.
