A K-12 educational diagnostician position is available to provide comprehensive assessment and evaluation services within a school setting in Metairie, LA. This contract role runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, supporting a school district in the New Orleans area. The position involves working 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, delivering diagnostic services that support student success and appropriate educational planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized and non-standardized assessments to evaluate student learning needs, strengths, and challenges.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed reports to guide educational planning.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet student-specific needs.
- Monitor and track student progress and provide recommendations for intervention or further evaluation as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all state and district policies and procedures regarding educational assessments.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in assessment and diagnostic roles.
- Strong knowledge of educational evaluation techniques and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
