7th Grade ELA Teacher

Position: 7^th Grade ELA Teacher
Location: Cheraw, South Carolina 29520
Term: August 2024 – June 2025
Hours: Full-Time
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 (Based upon Experience)

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans to teach students ELA-related core subjects and concepts.
• Work with students individually aiding them to overcome specific learning challenges.
• Prepare students for standardized tests required by the State of South Carolina.
• Supervise children inside and outside of the classroom.
• Communicate with parents and administrators about the progress of children.
• Review and grade student assignments, when necessary.
• Observe students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and make suggestions on how they could improve.
• Other duties as assigned by administrators.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field
• A South Carolina Teacher’s License with middle school ELA endorsements
• We will accept an Out-Of-State Teacher’s Licenses
• We will accept expired Teacher’s Licenses that can be renewed over the summer
• Previous experience teaching
