This full-time English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching position is based in a high school setting located in Cicero, IL. The role operates Monday through Friday, from 7:55 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on a contract basis for the current school year. The position offers an engaging classroom environment where you will support English language learners in achieving academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver ESL instruction to high school students following curriculum guidelines
- Develop lesson plans and educational materials tailored to English language learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to support student learning
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in English as a Second Language
- Experience in teaching ESL at the high school level preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
