English as a Second Language (ESL) General Education Teacher | Des Plaines, Illinois

This opportunity is for a full-time English as a Second Language Teacher position within a high school setting in Des Plaines, IL. The role operates Monday through Friday from 7:55 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is available as a contract for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality instruction to high school students in an ESL classroom.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet diverse student needs.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school goals.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in required meetings.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in English as a Second Language.
• Experience teaching ESL students in a high school environment preferred.
