A full-time English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a high school in Evanston, IL. This contract role provides the opportunity to deliver instruction to diverse student populations within a structured classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver ESL lessons tailored to high school students' needs
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages language development
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support English language learners' academic success
  • Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities as required
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with English as a Second Language endorsement
  • Experience teaching high school students preferred
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to supporting English language learners’ academic and social growth

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:55 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
