Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced K-12 Computer Teacher to join our team in Florence, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to computer science education, the ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere, and a dedication to helping students of all ages develop essential digital skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive computer science curriculum for students in grades K-12.
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote active learning and critical thinking.
• Teach fundamental computer skills, including coding, digital literacy, and online safety, tailored to different age groups.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods and resources to accommodate various learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to promote a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in computer science education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Computer Science or Technology Education.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build strong relationships with students and their families.
• Passion for technology and a commitment to inspiring a love of learning in students.
