Math Teacher in Kenner, LA

A full-time opportunity is available for a General Education Math Teacher to support high school students in the Kenner, LA area. This contract assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year (5/22/26) and follows a Monday through Friday schedule based on the school calendar. The position requires a dedicated educator with an active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality math instruction aligned with the general education curriculum for high school students.
• Develop lesson plans that engage and support diverse learners in the classroom.
• Monitor and assess student progress to inform instruction and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to enhance the educational experience.
• Maintain a positive and structured learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana DOE teaching certification (General Education Math).
• Experience teaching math at the high school level preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to start immediately and commit through the end of the school year.
• Candidates undergoing Teacher Assistance and Training (TAT) programs will not be considered.

Work Schedule & Location:

• Full-time assignment at a high school in the Kenner, Louisiana area.
• 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
