Math Gen Ed Teacher - Metairie, LA

This opportunity is for a dedicated General Education Math Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a K-12 school setting located in Metairie, LA. The position focuses on teaching high school students in Jefferson Parish and is a contract role for the 2025-2026 school year, starting ASAP and ending on May 22, 2026. The work schedule consists of 35 hours per week, distributed as 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective math instruction aligned with the school curriculum.
• Support students’ academic growth and meet diverse learning needs in a general education setting.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to create a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
• Adhere to all district policies and state educational standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in General Education Math (no alternative or temporary certificates accepted).
• Experience teaching high school students in math within a K-12 educational setting.
• Ability to manage a dynamic classroom environment and adapt instruction to varying skill levels.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Location: Metairie, Louisiana (Jefferson Parish area)
