A school district in the New Orleans, LA area is seeking experienced General Education Science teachers for a contract position from ASAP through May 22, 2026. This role involves supporting high school students in grades 9 through 12 within a K-12 school environment. Candidates will work approximately 35 hours per week, with a typical schedule of 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging science instruction aligned with grade-level standards
- Developing lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
- Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
- Collaborating with colleagues and school leadership to enhance learning outcomes

Qualifications and experience:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in General Education Science (TAT licenses will not be accepted)
