Role: Elementary School Teacher (Primary Grades)

We are now accepting applications for the role of an elementary teacher that can instruct a classroom of students within a prestigious elementary school, located in Mountain Village, Alaska.

The ideal candidate that we are seeking will have a plethora of experience with instructing 1^st grade to 5^th grade students in subjects such as ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language and Reading.

Work responsibilities include:

• Developing daily lesson plans in accordance with State and District approved curriculum.
• Maintain order and a safe environment for learning through effective classroom-management.
• Instruct students in a variety of methods to ensure the effectiveness of material retention.
• Discuss student performance with parents, administrators, and the Special Education Department, whenever applicable.
• Other related classroom duties as assigned by administration.

Mandatory Licensures and Requirements:

• Active – State of Alaska – Educator’s License
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or an endorsement field
• Relevant experience teaching students in a classroom
