An opportunity is available for a General Education Science Teacher to provide instruction for high school students in a K-12 setting located in New Orleans, LA. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours each day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The exact caseload and number of assigned schools will be determined upon placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and standards-aligned science instruction to high school students
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to diverse learner needs
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student growth and curriculum development
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration

Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in General Education Science required (TAT certifications are not accepted)
  • Experience teaching science in a general education setting preferred
  • Ability to manage classroom environments and engage students effectively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ready to begin work immediately with no pending licensing processes
