HS Mathematics Teacher Job in Newark, NJ

Position: HS Math Teacher
Location: Newark, New Jersey 07106
Term: ASAP – June 2024
Hours: Full-Time
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 (Based upon Experience)

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans to teach students math-related core subjects and concepts.
• Work with students individually aiding them to overcome specific learning challenges.
• Prepare students for standardized tests required by the State of New Jersey.
• Supervise children inside and outside of the classroom.
• Communicate with parents and administrators about the progress of children.
• Review and grade student assignments, when necessary.
• Observe students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and make suggestions on how they could improve.
• Other duties as assigned by administrators.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher
• A New Jersey Teacher’s License with Mathematics endorsements
• Previous experience teaching
