Virtual General Education Teacher | New York

A part-time position is available to provide individualized instruction in Italian 1 to a high school student who is homebound. This role involves delivering a general education curriculum focused on Italian language skills in a one-on-one setting.

Location: Bay Shore, NY
Duration: Year-round contract, starting ASAP through June 30, 2026
Schedule: Approximately 5 hours per week during the school day

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Italian 1 instruction tailored to a high school student’s needs in a homebound setting
• Implement lesson plans consistent with general education standards and language proficiency goals
• Maintain clear communication regarding student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary
• Ensure compliance with all educational guidelines related to remote learning environments

Required Qualifications:

• Valid general education certification for high school with an endorsement in Italian or a closely related field
• Initial certification as Classroom Teacher – Foreign Languages: Italian (grades 7–12) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Italian at the high school level
• Ability to provide services during regular school hours in a flexible, home-based context
