Virtual General Education Teacher - New York

A highly motivated educator is sought to deliver specialized instruction in Italian 1 to a high school student receiving homebound education. This role involves providing one-on-one support tailored to the student’s learning needs within the general education framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering Italian 1 curriculum to a high school student on a homebound basis
• Utilizing effective teaching strategies aligned with general education standards
• Maintaining accurate records of instruction and progress
• Collaborating remotely with educational staff as needed to support student success
• Ensuring instruction occurs during regular school hours

Qualifications and experience required:

• Valid New York State Initial Certification for Classroom Teacher, Foreign Languages: Italian (grades 7–12), or equivalent certification with a focus in Italian language teaching
• Demonstrated ability to teach Italian language skills at the high school level
• Experience with individualized instruction and adapting lessons for homebound students preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential
• Commitment to maintaining educational standards and providing supportive learning environments

This is a part-time, contract position averaging approximately 5 hours per week during the school day. The assignment runs year-round, starting immediately and concluding June 30, 2026.
