A healthcare professional is needed to provide dedicated nursing support within an elementary school setting in Gig Harbor, WA. This opportunity involves a contract position for the current school year (CSY), serving as a one-to-one nurse to assist students with specific health needs. The school is located conveniently across the bridge from Tacoma, offering a unique chance to work in a vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized nursing care to a student on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day.
  • Monitor and manage student health conditions, ensuring safety and compliance with medical plans.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support the student’s well-being and educational success.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school and healthcare standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse (RN) with a current and valid license.
  • Experience working in school nursing or pediatric healthcare preferred.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and attentive care in a school environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with educators and families.
