School Nurse (LPN) - Kansas City, Kansas

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide essential healthcare support within school settings in Kansas City, KS. The role involves working closely with students and school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Flexibility and a willingness to assist where needed are key components of this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to students according to individual health plans
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed
• Monitor student health and respond to emergencies appropriately
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to address student health concerns
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records
• Assist with first aid and CPR when necessary
• Support designated school buildings with flexibility to respond to changing needs

Qualifications:

• Current LPN licensure in the state
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment
• Previous experience in school nursing or healthcare settings preferred
• Must be able to update and present an accurate resume upon application

• Banneker Elementary (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Douglass Elementary (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Emerson Elementary (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• KCK Early Childhood SAILS 1:1 Assignment (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

This is a contract position with an immediate start date, expected through May 22, 2026.
