Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Reading, PA

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide nursing support within a K-12 school setting located in Reading, PA. This contract position covers the complete school year (CSY) and involves delivering healthcare services to students, supporting school health programs, and ensuring a safe environment for all.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Perform health assessments and screenings for students
• Manage health records and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and healthcare providers
• Respond to student health emergencies and provide first aid when needed
• Assist in creating health education initiatives and promote wellness among students
• Maintain compliance with school and state health regulations

Qualifications:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
• Experience working as an LPN in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of common childhood illnesses and procedures
