A licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is needed to support the health room operations within a K-12 school setting in Saint Petersburg, FL, for the upcoming school year contract covering August 2025 through June 2026. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of students and staff by providing competent general nursing care and responding to health needs throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in the health room, including assessment, treatment, and documentation of student health concerns.
- Assist with medication administration and management according to established protocols.
- Monitor student health trends and communicate effectively with school personnel and families.
- Float between school locations as needed to support varying health room demands.
- Maintain compliance with all school district nursing policies and documentation requirements, including completion of district-mandated paperwork and health prints.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid LPN (or LVN) license; ASN degree holders will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience, with pediatric or school health experience preferred.
- Ability to work onsite during regular school hours, with availability from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Willingness and ability to complete required health prints and district-specific documentation.
- Reliable transportation within the Saint Petersburg area is necessary.
