A full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Andover, MA, serving a K-12 school setting. This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to work directly with students of various ages, supporting their development of mobility and orientation skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing individualized orientation and mobility programs tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Providing direct instruction and guidance to students to promote independence and safe travel.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate mobility goals into the overall educational program.
  • Maintaining detailed records and progress reports for each student.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary planning.

Qualifications:

  • Active Orientation and Mobility License in Massachusetts is required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students of diverse age groups.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.

Location: Andover, MA
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Job Duration: Contract position through June 18, 2026
