Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Colorado City, CO

A part-time opportunity is available for an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide expert services in a K-12 school setting located in Colorado City, CO. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting a student’s independence through specialized orientation and mobility instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct orientation and mobility services tailored to one student
• Provide approximately 90 minutes of specialized instruction each month
• Assess and develop individualized mobility plans
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance student success
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies to meet the student’s evolving needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or proven experience as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
• Knowledge of best practices in orientation and mobility for K-12 students

• Ability to develop and implement student-specific mobility plans
