Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Greensburg, PA

A full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist position is available supporting K-12 students across multiple schools within Greene and Washington Counties, PA. This contract role runs through mid-June 2026 and involves providing essential services to help visually impaired students develop safe and effective travel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized orientation and mobility plans tailored to student needs.
• Provide direct instruction and training in navigating various environments safely and independently.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to integrate O&M strategies into students' daily routines.
• Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in compliance with program requirements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) license required.
• Experience working with K-12 students in school settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, parents, and staff effectively.
• Ability to manage a caseload across multiple locations.

Location: Onsite across Greene and Washington Counties, Pennsylvania.
