Qualifications:
- Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS)
- Experience working with visually impaired students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff
- Minimum of 18 students on full caseload
Location: Seattle, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide orientation and mobility assessments and training for students.
- Collaborate with vision impairment teachers to develop tailored mobility plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights on mobility needs.
- Support students in developing independent travel skills.
