A K-12 school in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) for a contract position for the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to support a caseload of 10 to 15 students, providing essential mobility and orientation services that promote equitable access to instruction and independence for students with visual impairments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and planning individualized orientation and mobility goals tailored to each student's needs
- Delivering direct instruction and support to students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborating closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate mobility strategies within the educational environment
