This opportunity seeks a skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide expert services within a K-12 school setting in the Southeast Texas Coast region. The position is part-time with a contract running from January 5, 2026, to May 28, 2026, offering approximately 16 hours per week over two days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized orientation and mobility training to students ranging across K-12.
  • Assess individual needs and develop tailored mobility plans.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with certification standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification required.
  • AVCREP certification or equivalent necessary.
  • Previous experience working with school-age children, ideally within K-12 settings.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with educational teams and families.

Work Details:

  • Location: Southeast Texas Coast.
  • Schedule: Two days per week, 8 hours each day.
  • Part-time (approximately 16 hours per week).
  • Contract duration: January 5 – May 28, 2026.
  • On-site presence required; no remote or hybrid arrangements.
