This position offers an excellent opportunity for a part-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support high school students in Providence, RI. The role is contract-based for the school year and focuses on providing essential services to ensure that students have equal access to their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct specialized orientation and mobility assessments and training for high school students with visual impairments.
• Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independent travel skills.
• Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to integrate mobility goals within the academic setting.
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting to track student progress and service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Valid Orientation and Mobility Certification (O&M Certification) is required.
