This opportunity seeks a skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) to support K-12 students in a contract position based in San Marcos, TX. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ mobility and orientation needs.
- Design and implement individualized mobility training programs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student goals.
- Provide specialized instruction in the use of canes, assistive technology, and environmental awareness.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress regularly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS or O&M Specialist certification preferred).
- Experience working with K-12 students in school settings.
