A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school settings to provide support for K-12 students. This position is based in Arlington Heights, IL, and spans the current school year, offering a dynamic environment to apply your expertise in pediatric occupational therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Implement therapy interventions that address sensory, motor, and functional skills to enhance student participation and achievement in the school environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and maintain compliance with school district guidelines and state regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations to support educational outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials to practice in Illinois.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and federal/state special education regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
