A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed for a K-12 school setting serving pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students. This contract position spans the full school year and involves working with a caseload of approximately 70 students across six schools, supporting school-aged children with various occupational therapy needs.
Location: Arlington, VA
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Utilize teletherapy methods as needed to supplement in-person services
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and interventions
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy and healthcare occupational therapy practices
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 70 students effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders
- Commitment to delivering therapy services to support educational goals
