In a dynamic educational environment, professionals provide essential support to students' occupational therapy needs. This part-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a K-12 setting, focused on fostering student development from August 2025 to June 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student participation in classroom activities, emphasizing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Modify tasks and environments to align with individual student needs.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as required.
- Produce clear and comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations.
- Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations in collaboration with educational staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents and peers regarding students’ developmental progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois state license in occupational therapy.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adapt to varying needs.
- Experience in school-based therapy preferred.
Location: Elgin, IL (K-12 School Environment)
