An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to provide specialized occupational therapy in a school setting. This role is crucial in supporting students from Pre-K to 8th grade, addressing their diverse needs through direct and indirect therapeutic services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in school-based therapy preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites
Location:
- Chicago, IL (District Wide)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy services and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement IEP goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 students across 2-5 school sites
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
