Elementary School Occupational Therapist | Aurora, Illinois

Providing occupational therapy services in an elementary and middle school setting, this contract position supports students in general education, resource, instructional, and self-contained classrooms. The role is based in Aurora, IL, and covers two schools over the course of the current school year (CSY).

Key responsibilities include enabling students to participate fully in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills. You will modify tasks or the environment as needed to support individual students and conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing. Deliver clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations, and develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations. Collaboration and effective communication with parents and peers are essential to monitor student progress and identify support areas.

Qualifications:

• Hold or be qualified to hold an Illinois state OT license
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities
