A current opening is available for a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) supporting a K-12 school setting located in Bolivia, NC. This contract position runs from ASAP through April 30, 2026, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple school locations serving western areas within the county, including Shallotte, Ash, and Waccamaw.
The ideal candidate will have experience with home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school-based occupational therapy, providing services to a caseload of approximately 50 students. Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services to students in a K-12 setting, tailored to individual needs.
- Utilize teletherapy tools as needed to support remote service delivery.
- Travel between multiple school locations within the assigned areas, with mileage reimbursement provided.
- Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and adapt interventions to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant state credentials.
- Experience providing OT services in home health and school environments.
- Proficiency in teletherapy methodologies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students efficiently.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple school sites in the designated areas (proximity to Myrtle Beach may be beneficial).
