An opportunity exists for a dedicated specialist to provide essential services in a K-12 educational setting. This role is focused on supporting students by enhancing their physical, emotional, and academic well-being through targeted therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in OT or related field
- Current state licensure as an OT
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and assessments
- Commitment to student success and wellbeing
Location:
- Navasota, TX
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students’ needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement IEPs
- Provide direct occupational therapy services and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
- Educate staff and families on the importance of occupational therapy and strategies to support students
