An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated candidate to support students in a K-12 school setting. This full-time position involves working with a diverse age group, focusing on enhancing the educational and functional outcomes of Pre-K to 12th-grade students through therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Massachusetts state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
Location:
- Lawrence, MA
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to students requiring occupational therapy
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff
- Implement therapeutic activities tailored to students’ needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational personnel regarding therapy goals and outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services provided
