An experienced Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is sought to provide vital support in a K-12 school setting during a maternity leave. This role is focused on delivering quality care and therapeutic services to middle school students, addressing a variety of needs within a diverse caseload.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification
- Demonstrated experience in school-based therapy, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Experience with a varied student caseload, preferably around 45 students
Location:
Acworth, GA
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, planning, and implementation of occupational therapy services for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
- Develop and adapt therapy activities to meet the individual needs of students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
