Position Details:
- Location: Douglasville, GA, serving both Villa Rica and Douglasville areas
- Start: ASAP through May 2026
- Schedule: 4 days per week, approximately 25-30 hours total
- Setting: K-12 school with focus on Pre-K and elementary students
- Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to Pre-K and elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence within the school setting
- Document services accurately and maintain compliance with educational and clinical regulations
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress with families and school staff
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working with school-aged children, primarily Pre-K and elementary age
- Familiarity with school-based laws, regulations, and educational goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team
