Providing occupational therapy services in an educational setting offers a unique opportunity to support students' developmental progress and academic success. This contract role involves delivering specialized OT services across Pre-K and elementary caseloads in a K-12 school environment.

Position Details:

  • Location: Douglasville, GA, serving both Villa Rica and Douglasville areas
  • Start: ASAP through May 2026
  • Schedule: 4 days per week, approximately 25-30 hours total
  • Setting: K-12 school with focus on Pre-K and elementary students
  • Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to Pre-K and elementary students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence within the school setting
  • Document services accurately and maintain compliance with educational and clinical regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate progress with families and school staff

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license
  • Experience working with school-aged children, primarily Pre-K and elementary age
  • Familiarity with school-based laws, regulations, and educational goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team
