Occupational Therapist School Setting in Dover Foxcroft, ME

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, healthcare, and school settings. This role is focused on providing occupational therapy services to elementary school students in Dover Foxcroft, ME, for the current school year (CSY).

Responsibilities:

• Assess and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to support student development and participation in school activities
• Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student care
• Provide direct OT services within the school setting, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills required for academic success
• Document student progress and update treatment plans according to regulatory standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a supportive educational environment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with prior experience in home health, healthcare, and school-based occupational therapy
• Strong understanding of pediatric OT interventions and school-based therapy models
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education regulations preferred
