This contract position offers a rewarding experience working with students from elementary through middle school. The assignment is a maternity leave coverage starting in mid-October through December 19th, providing a well-defined timeframe for professionals seeking impactful work in a school environment.
Position Details:
- Full-time schedule: 7:25 AM to 2:55 PM, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week)
- Caseload: Approximately 50 students requiring occupational therapy services
- Work location: On-site at elementary and middle school settings – no virtual work
- Professional scope: Licensed Occupational Therapist (COTA assistance is not permitted)
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct occupational therapy services tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and school staff to support student progress
- Evaluating and documenting student performance and therapy outcomes
- Developing individualized intervention plans and engaging activities
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in home health, healthcare, and school settings
- Knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and school-based therapy regulations
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload independently
