Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Recent experience in a school setting, preferably with elementary students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to developing individualized education plans (IEPs).
Location:
- Chapel Hill, NC
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other health professionals to support student needs.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ progress and adapt therapy techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for support.
