A licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) is sought for an onsite position at a K-12 school in Edmond, Oklahoma. This role offers a year-round schedule with consistent hours and a manageable caseload, ideal for professionals dedicated to supporting students with occupational therapy needs in an educational setting.
Location: Edmond, Oklahoma
Schedule: Monday through Friday
- School Year Hours: 7:30 am to 2:15 pm
- Holiday Breaks & Summer Hours: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
Term: Year-Round Contract (Immediate start to August) with potential for renewal or permanent placement
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to 4 to 5 students with documented injuries requiring intervention as specified in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating closely with educators and school staff to develop and implement effective therapy plans geared toward improving students’ functional abilities
- Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports to ensure compliance with school and regulatory standards
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed (OTR/L) credential
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy is preferred, with knowledge of healthcare and home health OT practices considered a plus
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique developmental and physical needs of children in a school environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration and reporting
