An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in El Cajon, CA. This contract position starts January 12 and continues through the end of the school year in June, covering a leave of absence. The role requires delivering occupational therapy services across two school sites, working 7.5 hours daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for K-12 students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development and educational goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their functional abilities within the school environment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and legal requirements.
- Adapt therapy plans in response to student needs and feedback from the educational team.
- Coordinate with multiple sites to effectively manage a caseload across both locations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with credentials to practice in the school setting.
- Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within a K-12 school environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads efficiently across multiple sites.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with school policies and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes.
