Occupational Therapist School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

An opportunity is available for skilled candidates to provide essential support in a K-12 school setting located in Des Plaines, IL. This role involves working with students from part-time to full-time hours, starting in July 2025 and extending through the fall semester.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Illinois state licensure or eligibility
• Experience in school-based therapy preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Understanding of K-12 education systems and therapeutic practices

Location: Des Plaines, IL

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students' needs for occupational therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct and indirect services as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
